There are days when it's difficult to stay the course and other paths beckon, but they are deceptive and lead only into the storm.

This is a personal piece...the pictures were taken over a year apart with two different cameras, and the compositing's a bit sloppy but I was too tired to get too picky. It's also borderless because I am using it as wallpaper, hahaha...For you AZ folks, that's I-10 East, near the 51 North/Loop 202 interchange

I love everything here... the picture AND the description...

It's hard to keep one's self from those "other parths" some days... but staying the course is truly the best option.
freezejeans Featured By Owner Apr 27, 2008
Agreed, it's often difficult to stick to the right path :) Thank you.

Marvelous shot. I love US highways. Photos like this make me want to do a 21st century version of Easy Rider. Perhaps that's what it is... freedom under a dark sky.
freezejeans Featured By Owner Apr 27, 2008
A new Easy Rider would be awesome, indeed. Thank you :)

Ahaha, I drive this road every day! This is great.. I only wish it looked that pretty in real life! Really I love this and I'm definitely buying a print soon. When I look at it I think of racing down the road in a fast car... cause well, I love fast cars. So maybe i'm missing the point, but I still like it.

Great job! I never thought about doing something like that..

I really liked what you did with this-- I love that you kept the road sign blue. Cool concept!

Did Microsoft buy this off you... It's one of the Longhorn (the yet to be realeased windows) default backgrounds....
freezejeans Featured By Owner Feb 1, 2005
Are you serious? It really is?? They did NOT buy it off of me, is there any way I can find out for sure about this? I would really appreciate it, thank you for the information!
mellifluousII Featured By Owner Feb 1, 2005
yeap... i can email you a screen shot of it in the list but past that I can't do anything... as I have only viewed it on a leaked version. Did you do the other one.. with the blue sky instead of clouds... why haven't u submitted it.
freezejeans Featured By Owner Feb 2, 2005
I didn't do the one with the blue sky, but that was submitted here at DA and the person got my permission first...I did a Google search last night and found a few more around the web so am going to write them about it! Thank you for letting me know about that :)
Bliss980 Featured By Owner Mar 3, 2007
So did you ever find out about the Longhorn thing? Did they get your permission or what? It's a shame it wasn't in Vista final (:P) this pic really rocks.

I love the sepia type toning this has, it really makes this stand out from a lot of other landscapes I have seen. Kinda looks like a deserted highway in a post-apocolyptic world :D
