Scenic lookout off I-17, a few miles south of Flagstaff, AZ.

Quite amazing to stand on the hill and watch this massive storm build up, the clouds overtaking the sunlight while cold winds buffeted the land. It was like a prelude to invasion by Sauron's forces from Lord of the Rings.

I was thinking more like the alien ships descending in Independence Day.

 It is both amazing and impressive to watch nature at work. It can also be a humbling and awe-inspireing experience too.

"It was like a prelude to invasion by Sauron's forces from Lord of the Rings."
:-) Yes, now all you need is the Riders of Rohan sitting astride their horses on the right and in the distance on the left hand side Sauron's army surrounding Gondor's army in Pelennor Fields.

Amazing!

Btw, the place looks very like to some places near Madrid, here in Spain. I guess climate must be alike ;)

That is one hell of a blanket of clouds. Beautiful, mesmerizing. So much wonderful shades of grey contrasting oh so nicely with the earthy greens. Thanks for capturing and sharing this
Very dark and forboding. So is this with the new camera? :D

Stunning, especially in full view. Nice tones and contrasts of light, I like how the light leaves a beautiful aura around the edge of the clouds...great capture of mood.

An exceptional view. Being generally a city type person it's always amazing to me that such grand vistas still exist in this modern age. The depth of this shot is astounding.

Great work!
